Celebrating Our New Black Belts – Dan Grading Success
On 1st June, Kaizen witnessed a momentous occasion – our latest Dan Grading. Months of dedication, discipline, and relentless training culminated in a display of technique, spirit, and metal fortitude that made everyone proud. The grading was a resounding success, and we want to congratulate the following students, once again, who earnt their new Dan Grades:

- Amber Hardwick (Jnr. 1st Dan)
- Paige Hardwick (1st Dan)
- Jodie Warburton (2nd Dan)
- Claire Hardwick (2nd Dan)

Your hard work, perseverance, and respect for the art embody the Kaizen spirit.
Along with the owners Chris & Clare Glanville the additional panel members included:
- John Crossley (2nd Dan) – Kaizen
- Paul Bell (3rd Dan) – ASMAA
- Dave Turton (10th Dan) – ASMAA
Our 1st Self-Defence Grading
Many congratulation to those who graded in our 1st Self-Defence grading at Kaizen Martial Arts Academy. These gradings are not just about technique but also mental toughness, quick decision making, and staying calm under pressure. And all of the students delivered.

More Than Just Mats
We’re always striving to improve not just our martial arts, but our facilities too. These past weeks, we’ve introduced some important upgrades to enhance your experience:
- CCTV Security System – to ensure added security
- POS Till System & Card Machine – making things easier for our members
These improvements reflect our commitment to creating a professional, efficient, and safe environment where members can focus solely on their training.
Partnering & Association
We have officially moved from FEKO & TradKA to ASMAA-SDF (All Styles Martial Arts Academy).
FEKO and TradKA have served us well as karate-focussed associations, and we wish them well in the future.
ASMAA-SDF specialises in supporting clubs with a wide range or martial arts disciplines. Their infrastructure, resources, and inclusive approach make them a perfect fit for our diverse and growing academy. We are confident this move will bring enhanced opportunities, recognition, and support for all our members and instructors alike.

We’d like to thank Dave Turton (Head of ASMAA-SDF) and Paul Bell (Deputy Head of ASMAA-SDF) for their support during this transition.
